On Monday last week, three showings were scheduled at our humble little home. By the evening, our realtor gave us hope of a potential buyer. By morning, an offer was made. In the afternoon, we made a counter offer and it was accepted. Afterwards, we learned of a second offer, which we rejected due to its contingencies. By Wednesday, our home was officially in the SALE PENDING status. We close at the end of March. I'm giddy with excitement.
At this point, we have no where to live at March end. We're currently looking at homes in the area but they are selling like hot cakes since the weather has been phenomenal and interest rates are in an upward trend. Most likely we'll rent an apartment and wait for the perfect home to surface. We're taking it slow. A home is an investment.
In all other news, my pregnancy is going well. There remains the occasional nausea wafting through my gastrointestinal system, but all in all, good. Also, the fluttery feeling in my lower belly has become more pronounced. It feels magical to feel our little one kicking me. I'm over the moon. Baby is healthy and we are in the process of scheduling the sonogram to find out the gender. Some women are fortunate to learn of their baby's sex as early as 15 weeks, but in my case, good things come to those who wait. Two more weeks till the sonogram. Stay tuned.
