When it rains, it pours. That's what seems to be the theme for 2017 thus far. March has been action packed with events/changes that keep us on top of our toes. Stress? Maybe, because between what is listed below are a whole mess of multiple steps to get through them all.
- Per agreement, we got our roof changed for the new owners before they move in at month end. We also repaired a bunch of other things including the heating unit, water heater, and the AC.
- I changed OBGYNs mid pregnancy. Was disappointed with their disorganization which put me in a roller coaster of emotions. My new OBGYN is fantastic. Finally scheduled for a gender sonogram. Can't wait to find out the sex of our baby.
- Pregnancy is going well. With everything going on in life, this baby is guaranteed to be resilient.
- This pregnancy has given me insomnia and odd sleeping patterns. Lack of sleep is a constant. Perhaps it's also stress related.
- We all got sick, and yours truly is still sick.
- We made a fantastic offer (5k less than its selling price) on a house that had been listed in the market for one day. The next day, we learned there were four other offers, one of which bid over the selling price. We didn't get it, but...
- There was a small voice that told me to secure a gorgeous lot STAT. It extends to the back a good size. We immediately put a down payment on Lot 7. The next day, another couple wanted the it because of the Biblical significance of the number 7, however we'd already paid the down payment so it was secured for us. We're currently working with our realtor and the builder to erect our dream home. If all goes according to plan, we'll move in July 2017. Lucky #7.
- After two weeks of searching, we finally found an apartment that leases on a monthly basis. We will stay there till our home is built.
- Parents/family helping us move out of our first home and into the apartment.
- I finished preparing and doing taxes for one company, on to the next.
- I'm teaching a class at church. Pre-K and Kinder for Adventurer Club. First meeting was yesterday. Lesson planning and teaching is fun. Below, Jaylee read the kids a short devotional and Gabriel lead the program at the start. The kids were so excited and loved the discipline of falling in line. Everyone loved it. Hopefully more kids will show up next time. There were several absences.
- In the process of enrolling Maksim in a new school.
- Helping my parents with their paperwork as well as helping them get ready to put their home in the market.
- Had to call the plumber to fix a problem at the work bathroom. Turned out to be more serious. They removed the toilet and an explosion of disgusting proportions reared its ugly head.
- People called in sick at work multiple times and I had to pick up the slack.
Yes, I dream for life to have more stability. I dream of routine, predictability, and a fixed schedule. I dream for the mundane that has gone MIA this month. All in good time.
