Gumma's 60th Birthday

One snowy day exactly one week ago, we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. The morning of her Birthday, Aunt Cheryl took her out to lunch at her favourite restaurant, only to be surprised with a birthday lunch bash get together with her friends. They were all there with balloons and gifts. She later on said that it was the first birthday surprise party anyone has ever given her. Bless her heart.

But, as a family, we had a small celebration at home that evening. We ordered food from one of her favourite restaurants and had a small gathering at home. Maksim got her a small cake. Throughout the week, up to now, Maksim keeps telling his Gumma, "Happy Birthday, Gumma."
