Babushka's Visit - The Family Museum

My sweet and loving Mother-In-Law visited us for a four days last week. We don't see her often, so when we do, we pack on as much activity as we can during her short stay. Here are pictures from our excursion to the Family Museum in town. This place has the kids' version of places adults go to: grocery store, ice cream shop, house, tech shop, map of the Mississippi River, and the local bridges including the Arsenal Bridge and the 74 Bridge. The museum also offers classes for kids. The day we went, there were classes for ornament making, clay formation, and painting. We didn't attend any since Maksim was engrossed in the play area itself.

To the left is Babushka and Maksim at the grocery store. Maksim took all the pretend cheese from the shelf and placed them in his cart. He has two carts and went to town. He knew what to do.

This is where he spent most of his time. There is a key in the ignition.
When you turn it, the light and the siren come on. Pretty cool.

Then we played with legos and then went out to eat at Golden Corral.
What a fun day with Maksim and his two grandmothers.

This was taken during the Thanksgiving Weekend.
We only made it to the lobby since they didn't take credit that day, only
donated cash and can goods. The nearest ATM was 15 minutes away and
by that time, the museum would close in an hour and a half. Not enough
time to really enjoy the visit. I snapped some pictures and then we left.
