Maksim's Impromptu Birthday Party

Andrey and I went back and forth on actually having a birthday party for Maksim. I wanted it to be low key, just family. Andrey argued that kids should have parties. To make the long story short, with two weeks left in the year, we decided to have the party at an arcade bounce house. Due to travel, illness, the insane weather (6+ inches of snow + -30 degrees F windchill), and the party being the last day of the year, only four friends showed up. Vala stayed home with my mom. Didn't want her going out. Despite it all, it was nice and fun. The favorite was the air hockey table. I found that I totally suck at it. Next year, we'll plan it at the beginning of December.
