When we moved in our neighborhood, we were clueless of how active the community was. Our subdivision is made up of five streets full of young families. Kids in elementary school age are ubiquitous and often found playing outside in the afternoons through the evening. Our neighbors behind us organized the annual Neighborhood Block Party at a local park. The event is usually held at the main cul-de-sac however it was no longer sufficient to hold our growing community. Not everyone was in attendance but a good number showed up. Food was shared, the kids played, and everyone got a chance to meet and greet. It was nice socializing and getting to know neighbors. It really is a lovely community.
