It's funny how pregnancy caused me to start blogging in 2011. So, blogosphere, I'm back to document the making of Baby Arkhipov #2.
My first pregnancy was ridiculously easy. I downloaded an app in March 2011 that told me when I was ovulating, strategically timed the happy event with my husband, took a pregnancy test 3 days before my period, and it came back with a faint pink line. Took another test the day of my period and it was a solid line. First try, easy peasy.
This second time is an emotional roller coaster. The plan was to start in January, but we both came up with the flu ovulation week. In February, Dre played basketball with friends at the gym and couldn't function the next day due to extreme soreness to the point of nearly puking. Finally, MARCH... no stumbling blocks. Baby danced throughout ovulation week, and then the waiting game.
At 9 Days Past Ovulation (DPO), I discovered accidental entries in my Period Tracker app that threw off the predicted ovulation day/week. Slapped my head hard on the table. It is no wonder that everything turned up negative in the pregnancy tests. Even today (14 DPO) when Aunt Flo (AF) is to arrive, the tests have only one line. It's frustrating since in the previous two weeks I've had pregnancy symptoms: headaches, swollen breasts, acne, mood swings, irritability, and heightened sense of smell. Yet, still no AF, though I have a feeling she will show up any day now.
At this point, AF needs to show up so we can start Cycle 2 of TTC. Not giving up.
