I thought I'd update everyone on what's been going on with our baby bean, Maksim.  Tomorrow he will be 1 year and 3 months old, about 33-35 inches tall, over 33 lbs, and a character.  There are a million milestones but I'll mention some fun ones below:

• Walks and runs everywhere.  He doesn't seem to get tired.
• Climbs stairs, furniture, and stacks his toys in order to reach for things he shouldn't be getting into.
• Babble, babble, babble.  He laughs and says a lot of gibberish but the clearest words he says are: Mama, Papa, Ampa (Grandpa), Amma (Grandma), Coco (Colette), Ako ("me" in Tagalog), meme (Food), book, truck, and cat.
• He knows all his body parts.  If we ask him to touch his hair, he will touch it.  The same goes for ears, eyes, nose, mouth, knees, fingers, toes, and etc.
• He gives the best hugs.  He leans his head and pats your back while he does it too.
• He has a book with a toddler girl's picture in it.  He started kissing her on the lips.  This shocked me.  I didn't know how to react when he did it multiple times.  Then he started kissing the girl dolls displayed in my parents' living room.  We took them all out. 
• He loves his Teddy Bear.  Teddy Bear has become his security blanket. 
• Food - picky eater, but I'm glad he likes vegetables.  His favorite home cooked foods are (all organic) bananas, rolled oats, apples, spinach, zucchini, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, eggs, peanut butter, and semolina cereal.  He's vegetarian.  We're scared to have him eat meat, even though we eat meat. 
• Maksim knows how to use the remote control.  Not my proudest moment.  He also knows how to switch off the lights on and off. 
• Knows how to use the phone.  It's amazing what he picks up while watching us do normal routine things.  Gotta be careful.
• He loves to dance, sing, and play the piano.
• He can be a little rough on the pets but it's absolutely precious when he hugs them.  Too bad I can't get a picture of him doing it. 

In all other news, I need to pick up my camera again.  It felt so good to edit some pictures.
