Dad's Birthday : March 9

For the longest while, dad has been raving about the best burger he had ever tasted in his whole entire life. It was like that one episode of How I Met Your Mother, The Best Burger In New York.

We took Dad to Red Robin - yet no burger there could beat the burger he had at that one restaurant in town, Brady Street Chophouse. So finally,we decided to take him there for his birthday. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, there was a live band. It was pretty fantastic - however there came a dilemma - whether to choose the breakfast/lunch buffet or order from the menu to taste experience the best burger in the whole world.

Dad was torn - we told him to get both the buffet and the burger but he said it would be too much. The buffet looked awesome. The lunch items included Salad, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, Salmon, Beef Marsala, Vegetable Mix, and Roasted Potatoes. Breakfast items were the typical breakfast buffet items similar to Granite City. The buffet included drinks and desserts. Nonetheless, we made it easy for him - he got the buffet and we gave him a gift card to come back at a later time to eat the burger.

Unfortunately, we all choose the buffet option. It was too good to pass up. On another day, Andrey and I will go back to the restaurant to experience... burger nirvana that Dad has spoken so highly of. Gosh, food is like a religion.

In the evening, we celebrated again with cake and a Spanish dinner. I made some slow cooked chicken fajitas, brown rice, and black beans. Not too shabby. It was fun. Once again, Maksim helped his Gumpa blow out candles but he wasn't allowed to eat cake because he refused to eat a proper dinner. OMG, one hour of tantrum begging. In the end, he didn't have cake. He got over it the next day. Toddlers. lol.
